Something to Behold

Birding, underwater exploration, dolphins, or a leisurely kayak through the marsh – explore our coastal waterways on a variety of different programs, tours, and cruises that fit your individual interests and bucket lists.

Have you ever wondered what leaves those holes in the sand at the beach? Do you know why the island is named “Hilton Head”? Why do the crabs in the marsh look like they’re waving?

To answer these questions and more, the Coastal Discovery Museum offers a variety of guided walks, talks, cruises, and excursions throughout the year. Activities for all ages are available at the museum’s historic Honey Horn location as well as off-site, taking you to nearby waterways, beaches, or historic locations.
