While there’s so much to visit and explore at your own pace, the museum offers a constant stream of Discovery Events tailored with our community of guests and visitors in mind, inviting you to Fall in love with the Lowcountry all over again through a schedule of activities built to educate, entertain, and inspire.

The museum provides Kids and Family events, markets and sales for strolling and shopping, all-community celebrations, and of course opportunities to plan and book your corporate events, weddings, and more on some of the most stately and serene public property the island has to offer.

Visit the Hilton Head Farmers Market at the Coastal Discovery Museum every Tuesday from 9:00am-1:00pm. Take home fresh local produce, pasture raised chicken, free range rabbit, pork, seafood, salsa, fresh sausage, cookies, breads, she crab soup, and more. Shop local, meet new friends, strengthen our community, and rebuild our local food economy!

Stroll through artists’ booths under historic live oaks to find that perfect piece of original art to take home. Fine art and craft in all shapes, sizes, styles, price ranges, and mediums will be available for purchase during this weekend.

Explore Honey Horn and learn about the Lowcountry from Museum volunteers and community partners. Pull a crab trap, try indigo dyeing, search for caterpillars, “dig” for artifacts, meet local authors, get creative in the gallery, learn some Gullah words, sing a few fun songs, and much more!
