Coastal Discovery Museum’s Covid-19 Protocol
KEEPING THE LOWCOUNTRY SAFE WHILE YOU DISCOVER
Updated Hours, Options, and Protocol
We’re open for you and your family, and taking extra measures to provide a safe and healthy experience, so you can focus on discovering!
The Museum’s grounds are open for visitors from Monday through Saturday (9-4:30) and Sunday (11-3).
The Coastal Discovery Museum is ensuring a safe and clean environment by implementing the following protocols:
- The Town of Hilton Head Island requires that all individuals inside commercial businesses wear face coverings. All guests (3 years and older), staff, and volunteers will be REQUIRED to wear masks while in enclosed public spaces.
- We ask that all individuals who are not from the same household practice physical distancing of six feet while visiting the museum’s buildings and grounds. Please be respectful of others on site and allow space between groups.
- Tours and Programs – Most tours are limited to a maximum of 6 participants and all “hands-on” aspects of our activities are currently suspended. Masks are required for registrants at check in. In some cases, they may be removed during the program if safe distancing can be guaranteed. Participants are required to wear face coverings for all indoor portions of programs.
- Discovery House – A limited number of visitors will be allowed entrance to the Discovery House at a time, but you’re welcome to come and Discover!
