Farmers Market – Tuesdays 9:00am-1:00pm

Visit the Hilton Head Farmers Market at the Coastal Discovery Museum every Tuesday from 9:00am-1:00pm. Take home fresh local produce, pasture raised chicken, free range rabbit, pork, seafood, salsa, fresh sausage, cookies, breads, she crab soup, and more.  Have your knives sharpened while shopping. Native Plant Sale – April 13th, 2019 – 10:00am-1:00pm

The Coastal Discovery Museum will have a variety of native plants to cover diverse landscaping needs, from vines to blooming bushes to butterfly friendly landscaping. Native plants are adapted to the local environment and require little or no care at all. Native plants are also used by local wildlife and are great to attract local pollinators. Join us for this unique event, the sale will accept cash and checks only.

Art Market at Historic Honey Horn – April 27th and 28th, 2019

This annual, juried fine art and craft show attracts artists from around the country to our beautiful site. Find that perfect piece of original artwork to take home with you from one of the 90 artists on site. For more information, please email  Applications will be available in August 2018 with a due date of 1/10/19.  $3 per person (under 12 no charge) admission. Hilton Head Island History Day – ? February ?, 2020

Hilton Head Island History Day offers two unique ways to witness the Island’s history. A docent-led bike tour and two docent-led trolley tours offer morning and afternoon explorations of the Island’s role in the Civil War and 4000 years of Island history found in Sea Pines. Reservations are required, book early. Brought to you by Hilton Head Island’s various cultural organizations, including the Coastal Discovery Museum.  Visit here to register. 2018 Public Art Exhibition-Look for the next exhibit in 2020!

Nineteen large scale outdoor sculptures are on exhibit at the Coastal Discovery Museum (an additional piece is displayed at the Hilton Head Island airport). The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry sponsors this Public Art Exhibition every two years. Pick up your map at the Discovery House and stroll the grounds. The Gullah Market: An Arts, Crafts, and Food Expo

Saturday, February 16th, 2018 – 11 AM – 5 PM ( Feb ?, 2019)

An all-access experience to Gullah culture! The annual Gullah Market offers cultural demonstrations, authentic Gullah and African crafts and food for sale, as well as an offering of traditional storytelling, music entertainment and the Celebration of African American Authors. An event to be shared with family and friends or for you to make new friends! Featured performances by the Gullah Geechee Ring Shouters, Wona Womalan West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, Gullah Ooman Louise Cohen and more! This event is part of the month long 23rd Annual Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration.

$10.00/general admission, $5.00/youth (5-12) and FREE for Youth (4-under)
