OF THE COASTAL DISCOVERY MUSEUM
The Coastal Discovery Museum was established in 1985. Our mission is to inspire people to care for the Lowcountry through programs that explore the region’s history, culture, art, and fragile coastal environment.
In 2007, the museum moved to Historic Honey Horn—70 acres of preserved land with historic buildings, nature trails, maritime forest, boardwalks, a butterfly habitat, salt marsh, dragonfly pond, and a large, covered pavilion.
Admission is free. Your donations help us maintain the museum and grounds, preserve historic buildings and collections, and protect the plants and wildlife that make this region unique.
