CAMELLIA -
"WINTER'S ROSE"
December 1st, January 5th, and February 2nd - 1 - 2 PM
Join us for a special tour of the museum's Camellia Garden, featuring over 130 varieties of this fascinating plant. Our garden manager, Wendy Dickes, will share stories of the plant's historic significance and tips about how to care for them in your own garden.

AT THE FARMERS MARKET
December 7th - 9AM - 1 PM
Come and tie dye with indigo dye made from the indigo plant! Make unique holiday gifts for friends and family. Bring your own cotton items
(shirts, aprons, scarves, masks, etc.) to dye for free and/or purchase a t-shirt for $5 (Child M-Adult XL). No registration required. In the case of heavy rain, tie dye will be rescheduled...check Farmers Market Facebook or Instagram.

Come and meet some of the coolest critters around…REPTILES! Meet and get to know some Lowcountry lizards, snakes, turtles, and alligators. Learn why these cold-blooded critters are important and examine the fun adaptions they have that help them survive in the wild.

WREATH CLASS
November 13th, 20th, and December 18th.
Learn about the history of the Sweetgrass Basket from a local 7th generation Gullah basket maker. During this special holiday class, you'll have a chance to make a decorative Sweetgrass wreath on your own using locally found natural materials. Class will last around 2 hours. Not recommended for children under 12. Reservations are required.
