Siege of Savannah, 1779 - March 2017 History Forum


The Coastal Discovery Museum, in association with Coastal Heritage Society will host this program with Aaron Bradford. In the fog of the early morning on October 9, 1779, armies clashed at the Western edge of Savannah, as French and American troops attempted to take back the occupied city from the British, who had captured it in 1778. Learn more about this fascinating conflict and its place in the larger narrative of American history with Coastal Heritage Society Military Interpretation Coordinator Aaron Bradford.

March 14 at 3 pm. Cost is $10 per person (for non-members; $5 per person for Basic members, and no charge for Smithsonian and above members. Reservations are required.
