The Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head will hold their 21st Annual Chili Cookoff at Honey Horn on October 8, 2005 As in the past, Island restaurants and amateurs will be invited to compete with each other for cash prizes and bragging rights for the following year. Local celebrity judges, as well as those purchase tickets, will elect the best chilis of 2005. In addition, local amateurs will participate in a separate judging to determine the best of their category. Beer, wine, and soda will be sold at the event along with hot dogs and ice cream for the children. The Kiwanis Club donates the net proceeds from the event to various youth programs on the island.
