| LOWCOUNTRY HERITAGE BREEDS FESTIVAL February 27, 2010 In partnership with the American Livestock Breed Conservancy, the Coastal Discovery Museum is pleased to announce a new event for 2010. The Museum will host breeders of heritage breed farm animals that were historically used in the Lowcountry. Animals will include: Marsh Tacky Horses, Mammoth Jackstock Mule, Guinea Hogs, Pineywoods cattle, Leghorn chickens, and more! In addition to the live-animal displays, representatives from ALBC will present two programs: 11 AM - "Breeds of the Southeast" and 1 PM - "Marsh Tacky Talk" in the Mary Ann Peeples Pavilion.
